In order to comply with Natasha's law (https://www.gov.uk/government/news/natashas-legacy-becomes-law), new allergen legislation came into effect during October 2021. Our catering company Twelve15 has introduced a new procedure for special diet and allergen requirements. The new procedure enables us to ensure the safety of pupils and students with food allergies and intolerances when providing school meals.
What do you need to do?
If your child has a special dietary requirement (food intolerance, allergy or follows a cultural or religious diet) you must complete the following online form, which takes just a couple of minutes.
This is then automatically submitted to Twelve15 and once it has been reviewed and agreed that will confirm they can provide hot meals to your child. This process can take up to two weeks. Therefore, until you have confirmation from the School Office - you must provide a packed lunch for your child. Therefore, it is very important this form is filled out as soon as possible if you wish your child to have school lunches. If your child is starting in September, please try to complete this by 10th July.
This form must NOT be used for children with personal preferences or simple dislikes but only for children with a medical food intolerance, allergy or follows a cultural or religious diet.
Please see the attached poster and flowchart explaining the process. If you require assistance completing the form, please visit the School Office. Thank you for your support.
