Spelling Focus: Recap and revise spellings that you have found challenging this term. Focus on sounds that have alternative spelling patterns in particular.

Grammar Focus: Adjectives are words that describe people, places and things. Complete the exercise on adjectives by following the rules. For example, some nouns can be transformed into adjectives by simply adding ‘y’ – ‘dust’ (noun) becomes ‘dusty’ (adjective).

Adverbs are words that are used to describe how, when or where something takes place. Complete the exercise on adverbs by following the rules. For example, some adjectives can be transformed into adverbs by simply adding ‘ly’ – ‘quick’ (adjective) becomes ‘quickly’ (adverb).

Sentence: Write at least 3 example sentences that include at least 2 adjectives and at least 3 example sentences that include at least 2 adverbs, e.g. The young boy has a red car (adjectives). The boy played happily and ran quickly (adverbs).
